My husband and I go to Jeff Ruby’s every October for our anniversary and always have the best time. Perfect food and atmosphere, but what makes it is the service. This year, Anthony (AK) and Shelby spoiled us with the best service and their time. So grateful for them and the rest of the staff for always making our anniversary so great!
My colleague and I were traveling for business from DC, and stopped in for an early dinner. We were not expecting to be seated, as we were only walk-ins…but the hostesses worked absolute magic and got us a lovely table in the dining room. The impeccable service continued with our waitress (Sydney)…she was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic…and even though we were just in for a light meal, she treated us like we were VIPs. The food was fantastic: I especially enjoyed the crab bisque: velvety, rich broth and massive chunks of blue crab. The tempura roll was delicious too and perfect as my entree. As we were finishing up, the wait team surprised us with a complimentary dessert flight: what a lovely gesture! Bottom line, this meal set the standard for our trip and served as a perfect welcome to the city of Cincinnati. I was so impressed by the quality of the food and the professionalism of the staff. This was a 10 star experience and I look forward to returning!
This review is so good it probably sounds fake - but I assure you it’s the real deal. I had a two day event in Cincinnati (first time visiting from Boston). I booked Jeff Ruby Steakhouse for a party of 25 guests from across the country, all who have extensive travel and dining experience. The staff and food were awesome, I actually feel like a rock start in how well I was treated. The best dining experience I can remember in 25 years of traveling. The wait staff curated a perfect blend of efficiency and courtesy and the food was outrageously delicious. My thanks to the Chef as well. I had guests from across the country who attend dozens of events per year. All of them were unanimously impressed. And although you always expect a great steakhouse to be exorbitantly expensive, the pricing was reasonable compared to the usual suspects in the high end dining world. Or to make a long story short - Simply WOW!
This was our second time at Jeff Ruby’s & both times have been such a gift. We started with ordering the scallops and focaccia bread appetizers. The flavors of both were incredible. We split a Ceaser salad, which was followed but by our favorite part - steaks! My husband ordered the Cowboy Steak & I ordered the Dry Age New York Strip. Both were amazing. My steak first came out too rare for me, the staff checked in on me and agreed, they continued to cook the steak while I stared on the asparagus and tater tot sides. The staff was so accommodating and thorough in making sure we were well taken care of. The price range of this restaurant is too high for us on a normal day, but for very special occasions (and some gift cards from work) we are so excited each time we get to experience the taste of the food here!
How do I know that Jeff Ruby's has the best steakhouses in the US? Every time one of our big industry partners travels to Cincinnati, they INSIST on going to Jeff Ruby's. These are folks that travel the country and visit every steakhouse in every city, and they all agree on one thing - Jeff Ruby's is the BEST. I want to also extend a big THANK YOU to Korrie and her incredible team for putting together a first class EXPERIENCE for everyone in our large party. They not only accommodated us, they made every single person feel valued and special. Well done and I highly recommend!
